Off-road experience returns for 2012
Land Rover has announced the return of its Land Rover Adventures driving program once again for 2012, which lets consumers purchase the chance to drive several of the manufacturer’s SUVs over trails in Utah and Colorado.
The event let’s off-road enthusiasts get behind the wheel of the 2012 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and LR4 to test the vehicles’ capabilities, all while getting one-on-one guidance from instructors.
Participants of the program will tour the Moab Desert in Utah for the four-day adventure (August 24 – 27), while those who opt for the eight-day adventure (August 27 – September 3) will move on to further events in Telluride, Colorado.
Land Rover promises the chance to “ascend steep mountains, climb the mesa’s challenging “staircase,” and navigate ‘Hell’s Revenge’” trail. The company says things like tailgate lunches will help the event stay “true to the Land Rover brand.”
“The programs enable adventure and travel enthusiasts to experience our vehicles in the environment for which they were designed, while providing the fine touches of luxury that are reflective of the Land Rover brand,” said Kim McCullough, Brand Vice President of Land Rover North America.
The programs are open to residents of the United States, and the most expensive package runs up to $13,000 US, and includes lodging, dining at Telluride’s “finest restaurants” and tickets to screenings at the Telluride Film Festival.
