Orvis Hot Springs

Orvis Hot Springs is a natural hot springs resort located an hour away from Telluride, and is known for its clothing-optional policy. The water is not treated or heated and consists of natural lithium, which is believed to have restorative properties. The resort offers seven soaking areas, including four outdoor pools, with temperatures ranging from 98-112 degrees Fahrenheit. Orvis also features an indoor pool and two private tubs. Visitors can relax and unwind while gazing at the star-filled sky or enjoy a dip in inclement weather.

Ouray’s Hot Springs

Located an hour away from Telluride, Ouray’s Natural Hot Springs Pool is a popular tourist attraction. It was built in 1927 and features a 250 to 150-foot public pool with over a million gallons of natural hot springs water. The pool has several soaking sections at different temperatures, including a lap swimming section, a diving area, and a game area for water volleyball. Visitors can enjoy the crystal-clear water, which is free from the strong smell of sulfur typical of many hot springs.

Dunton Hot Springs

Dunton Hot Springs, situated just across the mountain from Telluride, is a restored 1800s ghost town. The resort offers day and overnight packages and is available for corporate retreats, family reunions, and weddings. The entire town can also be rented exclusively.

Durango Hot Springs

Durango Hot Springs is surrounded by mountain views and offers a unique blend of minerals with no sulfuric odor. The thermal waters here are the only natural hot springs in the world that infuse nano-meter and micro-meter oxygen bubbles, increasing the health benefits and purity of the natural waters. The resort features 26 thermal mineral water features, including 16 natural mineral hot springs soaking pools, 8 private Japanese-inspired cedar soaking tubs, a reflexology walking path, and a mineral water rain tower. Additionally, visitors can enjoy amenities such as a resort-style swimming pool, Finnish dry saunas, and a cold plunge pool.
